Albania is changing his environmental laws
Albania is changing her rules in terms of environment, trying to get closer to EU, but they remains quite different from laws and procedures. That’s what Francesco Bruno, an Italian Environmental Law professor and lawyer, wrote in his last paper, published in “Albania Una e 2019”.
The volume, edited by The Skill Press and wrote by the journalist and spin doctor Andrea Camaiora, is an handbook about Albania’s economic and cultural conditions, useful to anyone who wants to deal with this developing country. «Although the Albanian legislation is receiving many principles from EU laws, the implementation of new rules is not to take for granted - Bruno explained - because of ministries’ lack of resources».
The Albanian case appears to be a unique: «While the system got some principles from EU traditions, it’s at the same time not able to act in order to effectively protect ecosystems», Bruno said. So the professor suggested that the country has to adopt a structural reform of environmental governance, with the aim of protecting Albanian natural resources and trying to join the EU.
